Job Summary

A Welder is to cut and join metals and other materials at facilities. He will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. This job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

•    Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
•    Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
•    Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
•    Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
•    Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
•    Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
•    Works in conjunction with other crews and lead persons.
•    Perform MIG, TIG and other types of weld as per requirements.
•    Maintain housekeeping and safe environment 
•    Does other assorted activities as assign.
 

Qualification

Experience

•    Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
•    Interpersonal with good communicative skills.
•    Moderate verbal and written communication skills – Arabic and English.
•    A keen understanding of the differences between various roles within organizations.
