Job Summary

A Motor Winding Technician is responsible rewind AC & DC electric motors and generators, ranging from small 230/460 volt motors up to 2000hp medium voltage motors. Duties include stripping, taking data, insulating, making coils, and general winding processes. Duties include inspecting buildings, maintaining inventory, and scheduling repairs.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

•    Perform the activities of Stator press, straightening, winding, varnishing, install lead wire, motor assembly, and dismantle ESP equipment (Motor/Stator) and testing.
•    Performs under minimum supervision, tasks of substantial variety or complexity which requires a masterly knowledge of winding and assembly techniques, materials, tools and equipment.
•    Keep accurate and organized all the documentation involved in the development of plant operations and satellite workshops.
•    Operate and properly repair the downhole and surface equipment and be able to solve problems on site.
•    Make cleaning job in the workshop areas.
•    Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
•    Help develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.
•    Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
•    Preform other duties assigned by line manager.
 

Qualification

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

•    Certificate in Electricals Winding, building maintenance technology or relevant field is preferred.
•    A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
•    In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
•    Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
