Job Summary
The Accountant - Fixed Assets is responsible for executing Inventory Control measures to ensure the minimum costs and maximum stocks possible and maintaining an accurate inventory records.
Job Responsibilities
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw materials, finished goods and give the actual needs of safety stock.
- Performs ad hoc, periodic, and annual stock counts and physical inventory.
- Produces periodical reports to ensure key critical areas of the inventory system are controlled and any discrepancies or inaccuracies are addressed and resolved.
- Ensures minimizing overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw materials to maximize availability of working capital within SCC.
- Analyzes and consolidates stock movement transactions, and produces periodic reports and statistics as required.
- Ensures incoming materials are received, handled, stored, and managed appropriately according to SCC related procedures.
- Review and enhance the procedures for all main inventory control processes and functions.
- STO follow up weekly, investigate & Solve problems.
- Acquire on time of receiving the asset.
- Scrap in proper way (fill form related and take the necessary signatures).
- Selling in proper way (fill form related and take the necessary signatures).
- Maintain proper cost center for each asset had been transferred within company with proper form and notification.
- Maintain a project report to management quarterly and match it with related GL accounts from balance sheet.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Supply Chain Management)
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in the field of Inventory Control and/ or Management within similar industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Supply Chain Management).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – Arabic and English.
